520 Lines Of Horizontal Resolution With Super High-Band Processor
The Super High-Band Processor intelligently calculates and restores the high-band components of the luminance signal that would be lost in conventional processing. This ensures extremely high horizontal resolution of 520 lines.
Digital NightScope For Extreme Low-Light Shooting
With enhanced low-light sensitivity, JVC's exclusive Digital NightScope function allows you to capture clear, bright images at night without loss of color associated with other night-shooting systems. Without relying on infrared rays as do similar systems, Digital NightScope uses the camera's normal optical system. As a result, the image you shoot is always in color, and there's no limit on shooting range.
DV Output Terminal For Digital-To-Digital Transfer
The GR-DVX44 is provided with a DV output terminal (i.LINK: IEEE 1394 compliant) for fast, lossless digital transfer to a computer, as well as for dubbing to another DV unit in native DV format.
PC (Serial Port) Terminal For Easy Still Image Capture
The GR-DVX44 is also equipped with a serial terminal for direct connection to PCs with serial ports (RS-232C), enabling you to take advantage of computer-controlled still image capture using the provided JLIP software without installing an additional board.
10x Optical/200x Digital Zoom with Spline Interpolation
In addition to the 10x optical zoom, this camera also features a powerful 200x digital zoom with spline interpolation to smooth contours that helps you pick out a face in the crowd. A digital image stabiliser, which helps to eliminate camera shake without affecting image quality, is handy when zooming in for a portrait.
2.5" High-Resolution Color LCD Monitor
The 2.5" high-resolution LCD monitor can be freely tilted for high-angle overhead shots, low-angle shots, and even self-portraits when pointed forward. Also, easy-to-see on-screen menus are shown on the LCD to simplify selection of camera settings and special effects.
Power-Linked Operation
As soon as you pull out the viewfinder or open the LCD monitor, the camera automatically powers up so you're ready to shoot. And when you close the monitor or retract the viewfinder, the power automatically shuts off to conserve battery life.
