The Tenlabs are stand-alone video converter.
They will convert a video signal from one TV system into another.
If you have to convert tapes from/to PAL/NTSC (for example),
you'd have to connect the TR-10SP between a PAL VCR and an NTSC VCR;
or between a VCR or camcorder and a TV of a different system
(a PAL VCR or camcorder and an NTSC TV, for example);
or between a satellite tuner receiving PAL programs and an NTSC TV (or viceversa), etc.
The Tenlab is the ideal converter to have - for cost/quality, it can't be beat.

"I think (and you can quote me) that the TR-10sp gives amazing results wether it converts
from PAL to NTSC or vice versa. We have some major equipment here at the TV station that
cannot produce a comparable picture. Its price is unbeatable, and you'll be hard pressed to
find anything that good. And most of my co-workers are unable to see the difference between
the source material and the converted copy.

Hello. I currently have a PAL converter for converting PAL DVDs through
my (modded) all-region NTSC DVD player and into my NTSC television. I
use an Emerson PAL converter for UK/Euro DVDs The
picture, however, is pretty sad as it is has a great deal of swirling
artifacting. I was thinking of upgrading to the Tenlab TR-10SP.

Even tapes that were unwatchable with the AIWA's conversion due to quality of the original
tape are close to perfect, or at least I can see that it is a problem with the tape not the

"I purchased a TR-11SVHS transcoder and let me tell you that this converter performs
like our $54,000 TETRA converter. !!!. We conducted several tests with the TR-11SVHS
to see if its suitable for broadcasting.
We couldn't tell the difference between a tape converted with the TR-11 and the TETRA.
So we decided to bring in our station senior chief engineer and he also had a hard time
to notice the difference... Yes, we will use it for broadcasting! He was also amazed
with the price Vs. quality!!!"

(dealer’s) websites. But everything turned out to be true!!!
The TenLab TR-21 delivers perfect results in quality no matter which system is to be converted.
Neither the Samsung SW300 nor the Panasonic AG-W1 can stand comparison with the TR-21.
There are none of the known problems such as pictures jumping or being out of focus to report.
As I said: It’s perfect, even by broadcasting standards, plus it’s a real bargain. I do video
