Steel Surfaces
The audio-video furniture from Schroers & Schroers is obtainable in two steel variants - black or silver-gray.
The steel objects from Schroers & Schroers are powder-coated and have a lightly textured surface. The coating forms a high-strength, homogenous protective layer. The silver-gray lacquer is additionally mixed with silver particles which lends the surface a slightly iridescent character.

Wood Shelves
The wood shelves of the Schroers & Schroers objects are on principle 20 mm (3/4") thick and comprised from a high-strength MDF-core which guarantees torsional rigidity and provides for a high weight capacity.
The surfaces are covered with a hand graded genuine beechwood veneer and sealed with a clear lacquer coating. All rounded visible edges consist of solid beechwood. The shelves can be placed on either side.

Glass Shelves
The shelves of the audio objects are available in clear glass and three color variants - frosted glass, blue glass and yellow glass. Shelves for the TV furniture come in the clear glass or frosted glass styles.
The colored glass is produced by bonding the color to the underside of the glass shelf using a special process. They are thereby long-wearing, color fast and abrasion-proof.
The glass shelves are made from 10 mm (0.4") thick glass for exceptional strength. For the objects of the Biga and Focus models 20 mm (3/4") clear glass shelves are also obtainable: these variants are identified as ‘Maxi’.
Replacement glass can be ordered at any time.

Glass Edges
The beveled glass edges are always polished to the highest degree of brilliance. These edges have crystal-like optics, which brings the beauty of the glass and its edges to the optimum expression. Daylight and artificial light can thus enter the glass edges unhindered and emerge again - a visual pleasure, that only exists with such extremely thick glass. The separately obtainable lighting system (see Lighting system) aids in this delightful optical effect.

Shelf Carriers
With the models Triga, Focus and Deltastatic the shelves are bound and fixed with special holders. Each shelf bracket has a laod capacity of approx. 132 lbs. (60 kg) and consists of a metal guide as well as a securing screw of synthetic material which prevents the shelf from slipping.

Height Adjustability
The height adjustability of the shelves is an important prerequisite, in order to adapt the capacity of the furniture to the equipment dimensions.
With the models Lambda TV 3 (center shelf) and Biga (upper and center shelf) the shelves are height adjustable by 50 mm (approx. 2") up or down. With Deltastatic as well as the Triga and Focus ranges the drilled holes for the shelves are sequentially spaced at 50 mm (approx. 2").

Glass Adhesive Bonding
All glass furniture from Schroers & Schroers is produced under stringent quality standards. The total production process - from the formation of the glass through to the finished object - is monitored step by step. This careful supervision plays a central role in the bonding process used, because only in this way can a high weight capacity be guaranteed.
A high-tech adhesive, which is cured by exposure to ultraviolet light, gives the bond its strength. The absolute precision of the beveling and polishing, as well as the careful positioning of all the edges to be bonded, are the necessary conditions for this. This is the only way to ensure complete transparency and high-strength bonding.

Top Panel Pads
The top panels (the shelf lying on top) are provided with small non-slip synthetic pads. These rubber buffers act as vibration dampers and therefore support the elimination of vibration transmission. A feature that honestly plays an important role with audio components.

Floor Levelers
Height-adjustable floor levelers enable compensation for floor unevenness and guarantee an absolute stability - especially important for analog turntables and CD drives.
The models Alphastatic, Deltastatic, Lambda, Biga and Focus have floor levelers included in the delivery packs, however they can, upon request, be replaced by spikes or casters (see equipment).

Plus Variants
Because of the sequential holes with Deltastatic as well as the Triga and Focus ranges there is the possibility to expand the capacity of the furniture by one shelf each. As an example the Triga 2, which comprises two shelves plus top panel, becomes Triga 2 Plus by an additional shelf (see below); Deltastatic permits expansion to Deltastatic Plus (6 levels) with a further shelf.
