This allows you to play DVD discs from anywhere in the world on your standard American television regardless of the DVD discs region or the video standard of the disc. Not only does the LX9 play your all region Pal or NTSC DVD movies (including DVD-R and DVD-RAM discs), audio CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, but it also decodes MP3 files burned to CD, and even displays JPEG photos and MPEG movie clips you've recorded to a Multimedia Card or Secure Digital® Card. Yes, this player has a SD memory card slot!
From a guest bedroom to a long road trip, the DVD-LX9 brings movie magic and audio excitement anywhere it's needed. The 9" wide screen LCD gives you a nice, bright view of your DVD movies — and its viewing angle is adjustable over 180º to give you lots of options. Advanced Virtual Surround Sound creates an involving sound field for your Dolby® Digital titles, using just your stereo receiver and speakers. Or, if you'd rather keep all that sound to yourself, connect a pair of headphones. Use the supplied A/V cable to hook the player to your TV, or connect the LX9 to your home theater receiver via an optical-to-mini-optical cable (not included) for full-on 5.1-channel excitement.
