Activating Your Service:
- Insert the la carte SIM card into your mobile phone
- Turn on your phone

- You may dial 143 from your mobile phone for customer service at any time
Adding Talk Time:
The Praktikum card is the tool for charging your SIM card. You can recharge the SIM card with a new Praktikum card any time. Pannon GSM offers three different types of Praktikum cards differ in:
- price: (HUF3600(US$12.50), HUF7200(US$25.00), HUF14,400(US$50.00)
- value: HUF3600(US$12.50), HUF8,100(US$28.00), HUF18,000(US$63.00), and
- color: (yellow, green, and orange), respectively.
You should buy Praktikum cards only in Pannon GSM showrooms or regional service centers, and also in authorized Pannon GSM dealer outlets. Pannon GSM does not accept and does not buy back returned Praktikum cards. Replacement of damaged, lost or stolen Praktikum cards is not possible.
To charge the SIM card with the help of the Praktikum card proceed as follows:
- Open up the packaging of the Praktikum card
- Rub off the gray protective layer
- You will see the 14-digit secret code number
- Call the Pannon GSM number 171 from your own mobile phone
- Follow the instructions you hear
- Complete your call by pressing
If you proceeded as described above, you have charged the SIM card of the basic kit with the value of the Praktikum card, and now your phone is ready for use.
You will only be able to make phone calls up to the amount of your balance charged with the Praktikum card. As soon as your balance decreases to HUF 360, a short text message will be sent to you as a reminder that the amount charged on your SIM card will soon run out:
"The balance of your SIM card is less than HUF 360. You can recharge your card on phone number 920 0300 or 171." (This short message is sent by our system in Hungarian.)
In addition, you will hear a short warning tone during conversation (depending on the type and setting of your handset). As soon as the amount on your card is spent, the actual phone connection will be cut off. You can only initiate additional calls after recharging your card (except for calling 171).
If you call with a balance too low to cover the cost of the first half a minute, the call will not be set up, and you will hear the following voice prompt: "There is an insufficient amount available for making this call. You can recharge your card by calling 171."

If you subscribe to the PluszNulla service that utilizes an Internet-based voice transfer, you may initiate international calls with lower minute fees than those applied to traditional mobile and landline calls. When subscribed to PluszNulla, instead of the traditional 00 international call code, you have to dial +0 or 000 before the phone number whenever you initiate an international call. This way, the costs of the call will be lower than those recurring in the case of a traditional call.
Service Life:
The SIM card with the belonging GSM number is valid for 1 year after the last recharge.
In case you do not recharge your SIM card within validity with a new Praktikum card of any value, and consequently it is deleted from our system, you will not be able to use your old GSM phone number to use the service again, but you need to purchase a new basic kit with a new GSM phone number. There is no possibility to reclaim the old GSM phone number. If you have previously charged your card with a larger amount, but have not used it up within validity, this amount will be lost as soon as the card is disabled, and Pannon GSM will not refund it to you.
Coverage:
Cellular coverage in Hungary is excellent, far exceeding typical cellular coverage in the US.
