Activating Your Service:

• Go to Afghanistan
• Be sure that battery is charged
• Insert the Afghanistan SIM card into the mobile phone
• Turn on the phone
• Enter the PIN code ^*
• Start calling

Your Afghanistan mobile phone number can be found on the tri-fold letter containing your SIM card and begins with number: 070

Customer service for your Afghan Wireless prepaid SIM card is available by dialing 151 at any time from your cellular phone.

To make a local call in Afghanistan: Dial 0 + area code + phone number

To make an international call in Afghanistan: Dial 00 + country code + area code + phone number.

To make a call from Europe, Australia, or Africa to Afghanistan: Dial 00-93 and then your cell phone number (omit the leading zero)

To make a call from the US to Afghanistan: Dial 011 93 + your cell phone number. If the first digit of your phone number is a 0, then simply omit it when dialing. For example, if your afghan cell phone number is 070 1111111 then someone in the US would dial 011 93 70 1111111 to call you.

Adding Talk Time:

To add talktime (airtime) to your Afghanistan SIM card, you will need to purchase airtime vouchers. You will find these reload cards at most convenient stores, tabac shops and gas (petrol) stations.

Simply scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your voucher code. Then simply follow the instructions on the airtime voucher, to enter the airtime voucher code using the keypad of your international cell phone.

The validity period of the airtime is 6 months.

Remember: Do not purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! Your only need a recharge voucher! And your incoming calls are always free even when you run out of airtime.

Rates:

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Afghanistan using the prepaid Afghan Wireless SIM card while you are in Afghanistan. All incoming calls on your Afghanistan cell phone regardless of where they originate are FREE.

Service Life:

Your Afghan Wireless SIM card has unlimited service life if you use your SIM card even once every 6 months. If you do not recharge or use your account within 6-months your Afghan Wireless prepaid cell phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card. The 6-month period starts the day you arrive in Afghanistan.
