For international travel involving multi-county, short duration trips, the Riiing SIM card is a nice piece of cheap insurance that fits into the back of your wallet (and GSM cell phone) and unlike home, your global roaming cellular phone service is prepaid so there is no need for a contract.

Activating Your Service:

Like most prepaid SIM cards, the service is preactivated, with your cell phone number printed on the card located inside your Global Riiing packaging. Your cellular phone number is based in Lichtenstein and will begin 423.

• Insert the Global Riiing SIM card into the mobile phone
• Be sure the battery on your international cell phone is charged
• Turn on your phone
• Enter the PIN Code on your Global Riiing SIM card*
• Set your cell phone to the GSM 900/1800 frequencies (if applicable)
• You are now ready to make and receive calls

* Your PIN code is a four digit code located on the PIN/PUK information card that accompanies your SIM card. The PUK is only required to unblock you phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone along with PIN2.

When calling from the United States to your Global cellular phone number callers will need to dial 011 followed by your Global Riiing cell phone number. To make an outgoing call from your global roaming SIM card, simply dial the "+" followed by the country code and phone number. For international calls to Lichtenstein you may want to get our usage based calling card.

To Add More Talk Time:

You may credit your prepaid international roaming Global Riiing SIM card and keep your prepaid service globally active by purchasing a voucher code for 25 Euros ($38 for each voucher) or 15 Euros ($25 for each voucher). Contact us for information on how to purchase these voucher cards.

Alternatively to add airtime from the road:

• Dial 00-1-925-686-9945 outside the USA, or 1-877-327-5078 inside the USA
• Select option 2 and then again select option 2
• Follow the instructions at the voice prompts
• Airtime will be added within 6 hours

To check your airtime balance simply:

• Enter (089) on your cell phone (another FREE feature)
• You will be notified of your Global Riiing balance

How To Make Calls:

Important notes: Always dial numbers with the full international dialing code. In addition, after dialing with your Global Riiing SIM, you will be briefly disconnected and receive a call back. Answer normally and wait for the call to be connected. If you have problems making calls, try selecting another network.

• Dial number with "+" country code (1 for the US) , phone number
• Press [send] key
• Your phone will display "Waiting For Call"
• Wait for call back and pick up with your [send] key like on a normal call
• After a short while (10 to 30 seconds) the connection will be set and the phone will start to ring on the other side
• Finish the call by pressing [send]

There are not any special procedures to follow when receiving an incoming call. So, to answer and incoming call, simply press the [send] key. Example: To call Switzerland, enter +41 1 311 3315 [send], wait for your phone to begin ringing and just pick it up!

How to Receive an Incoming Call:

Just like at home... when your phone rings simply press the [SEND] key and you’re connected.

Remember that your universal cell phone number is based in Liechtenstein and if folks calling you are not on an international plan then you may want to sign-up for our international calling plans.

Service Life:

Your Global Riiing SIM card will remain in good standing so long as you use your airtime credit within 9 months. If you do not do this, the Global Riiing SIM card will expire, the phone number will be recycled and all remaining airtime credit will be forfeit.

Network:

The Riiing SIM card can roam on multiple networks within a single country.

For example, in England there are 5 networks and Italy there are 4 networks. With your Global Riiing SIM card, you can actually switch between these networks to get the best/strongest network and your airtime rate always remains the same. This is a GSM thing (thank the Europeans, seriously) and it is a very powerful feature of global roaming SIM cards for international travel.

So if you're getting a weak signal or having trouble completing an outgoing call, simply switch networks. This will require you to know how to use the Network feature of your cell phone so crack open that manual (if you haven't already thrown it out) and find out where and how to change Networks with your prepaid SIM card. It only takes a minute to do once you know where this feature on your global phone menu is located.
