Activating Your Service:

Your Chile mobile phone number is displayed on the reverse side of your SIM card and begins with the number '8'...

• Be sure that battery is charged
• Insert the Chile SIM chip into the cellular phone*
• Turn on your phone
• Enter the PIN code^
• Add C$5000 airtime voucher
• Start calling**

Customer service for your Chile prepaid SIM card is available 24 hours a day by dialing 103 or 059 at any time from your Chile cellular phone.

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Chile SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Chile SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the Chile SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^ Your phone MAY prompt you for a 4 digit PIN code, which is printed on the reverse side of your SIM card under the gray area. The PUK is only required to unblock you phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Chile cellular phone number callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 56 and then your Chile cell phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero). To call abroad from your Chile cell phone simply dial 00 or the + key followed by the country code and phone number. To call Telestial you would dial 0018582742686

Adding Talk Time:

Your SIM card has an initial airtime credit of C$1000 and a C$5000 airtime voucher. Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called "recargate" cards, not another SIM card, in Chile. These airtime vouchers are available in 3 denominations:

• 3500 C / 30-day validity
• 5000 C / 60-day validity
• 8000 C / 90-day validity

Simply scratch off the gray protective layer to reveal your voucher code. When punched into the keypad of your international cell phone the voucher code will credit your SIM card the respective Peso denomination you purchased.

Airtime vouchers are available locally in Chile at local tabac shops, convenience stores, Elcel shops and authorized dealers.

Remember: Do not purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! And your incoming calls are always free even when you run out of airtime.

Rates:

Domestic Calls

Domestic calls are just 30C ($0.06 USD) per minute for outgoing calls within Chile from your prepaid Chile SIM card while you are in Chile. All incoming calls regardless of where they originate are FREE!

SMS Messaging costs just 50C ($0.09 USD) per message.

International Calls

Making International calls from your world cell phone has never been easier with your prepaid Chile SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from a Chile SIM card within Chile.

Service Life:

If you do not recharge your account within any 5 month period then your Mobile phone number will be recycled. The 5 month period begins on the day you arrive in Chile and load your first airtime voucher.
