SIM cards that are opened are non-refundable.

Activating Your Service:

• Be sure that battery is charged
• Insert the Buddy SIM card into the mobile phone
• Turn on your phone
• Type in PIN 1 (if required 1234 is the default)
• Start calling

Your Philippine telephone number is located above the bar code on the SIM card and begins with 918.

Adding Talk Time:

To refill reload or otherwise recharge your Buddy prepaid SIM card you will need to purchase an airtime voucher also commonly know as a prepaid card (NOT to be confused with SIM card!!!). These prepaid cards add airtime to your SIM card. Airtime vouchers are available locally at most tabac shops, convenience stores and petrol stations that display the Buddy logo.

Depending on the amount of airtime you would like to ad to your SIM card there are 3 denominations available: Php 300 (US$5.60), Php 500 (US$9.35) or Php 1000 (US$18.70). To reload simply:

• Scratch the card to reveal a 14-digit code.
• Dial 1510 + 14 digit PIN and Send.
• A voice prompt will confirm your successful reload attempt.
• The total of the card is automatically added to your calling credit.

For balance inquiries simply dial 1515 [send] and a voice recording will state your remaining Peso balance.

Service Life:

The SMART Buddy prepaid SIM card must be ‘used’ before the stated expiry date printed on the back of the card. If you do not arrive in The Philippines with your SIM card before the expiry date then the SIM card will be invalidated.

You have 60 days to consume the value of a SMART Buddy prepaid card (airtime voucher) from the date it is loaded into your SIM card account. Any remaining value will be forfeited after the 60-day period.

When your account balance reaches ZERO you have 120 days to reload more airtime to keep your account active. During this time period you can continue to receive incoming calls for free.
